CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sundays  - 9:00 a.m.

Our Children’s Sunday School classes are offered for toddlers through 5th grade. In Sunday School, children are encouraged, loved, and taught about the love God has for all of God’s children.

Just for Kids First Methodist Church in Leonard, TX

JUST FOR KIDS (JFK)

Sundays - 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Just For Kids is our Sunday night program for children ages 3 to 5th grade. Meeting each night during the school year, the JFK group learns about God and the Bible, makes crafts, goes on fishing trips and tours of our local doll museum for tea parties, and challenges the youth to friendly competitions of Bible Trivia. JFK meets Sunday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a free snack supper.

Breakfast for God's Children First Methodist Church in Leonard, TX

BREAKFAST FOR GOD’S CHILDREN

First Saturday - 9:00 a.m.

Breakfast for God’s Children meets on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast and a craft. Breakfast is lovingly prepared pancakes and bacon and is open to anyone and everyone.

YOUTH DIRECTOR - JUSTIN HORTON

Justin Horton serves as the Youth Director at First Methodist Church of Leonard. A devoted husband to Amanda and proud father to Maddyson and McKinlee, Justin has a passion for helping young people grow in their faith and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

In addition to his ministry work, Justin serves in the United States Air Force Reserve, where he has dedicated his career to serving others and leading by example. He brings that same commitment, integrity, and servant-hearted leadership to the youth ministry.

 

Justin’s desire is to create a welcoming environment where students feel loved, encouraged, and challenged to live out their faith. Through Bible study, fellowship, service projects, mission trips, and community outreach, he strives to help youth discover their God-given purpose and become faithful disciples of Christ.

 

When he’s not serving at church or with the military, Justin enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on the Texas Longhorns and Green Bay Packers!
